The Wilderness Initiative is a donor-supported, trauma-informed program purposed for small non-profit organizations who make BIG investments in the livelihoods of young adults suffering the impact of disproportional adverse childhood experiences such as:

  • aging out of foster care

  • prolonged child sexual abuse

  • human trafficking

  • domestic violence

  • religious grooming and abuse

Your support is an investment in their livelihoods.

Beginning Jan. 2026, The Wilderness initiative is partnering with Unfaulted.org, “a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to empowering young women and men who have aged out of foster care.” This year long pilot program will

  • enable us to quantify varying degrees of emotional development and functionality as new life skills are taught and practiced.

  • create a working classroom model that can be facilitated by staff and trained volunteer guides.
