Professional BIO
Wendy Redroad is a free-spirited abuse survivor, content writer, support group facilitator, and speaker. With great warmth, and a bit of wit, she colors the bleakest of circumstances with hope, unexpected laughter, and tangible steps towards healing and forgiveness.
Drawing from the insights of Aquinas on “the passions,” and Ignatian spirituality - finding God in all things, Wendy is on a mission to validate the complexities of healing and forgiveness while fostering the relational healing that is essential to ending generational cycles of abuse and religious scrupulosity.
In 2025, after sixteen years of content writing and test group facilitation, Wendy established Mission EDIFY and renamed its nonprofit arm to The Wilderness Initiative. The generosity of amazing partners enables ongoing research and essential wrap-around services for small non-profit organizations aiding adults impacted by abuse, abandonment, and exploitation.
Wendy is an affiliate member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. In 2026, with the charitable support of some amazing folks, she expanded her reach to youth who have aged out of foster care.
